SUMMARY:Red Cross Blood Drive
DESCRIPTION:The American Red Cross is facing a severe blood shortage as 
 hospital requests exceed the available supply\, drawing down the blood 
 supply by about 35% over the past month. Hospitals already strained by the 
 worst flu season in nearly 20 years are now also being forced to triage 
 critical blood products. High flu activity in nearly every state may be 
 sidelining donors\, slowing efforts to rebuild the Red Cross national blood 
 supply. We need your help!\n\nThe call for donations was received before 
 the storm hit the country. The weather has severely reduced the blood 
 supply. I hope you can donate or help spread the word about the upcoming 
 drive on Thursday\, February 19th\, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. There are many time 
 slots available\, and we have increased the donation time by an hour. You 
 can make an appointment at https://www.redcrossblood.org/give.html. Search 
 for Morris Library. As always\, walk-ins will be welcome.
