Crab Orchard Review Literary Festival In-Person
The inaugural Crab Orchard Literary Festival, sponsored by SIUC's national literary journal Crab Orchard Review, is a return to form for the magazine and the MFA Program in Creative Writing at SIUC. Over the years, Crab Orchard Review has sponsored the Devil's Kitchen Literary Festival, the Young Writers Workshop, and the Little Grassy Festival here in Carbondale. This year, we're reviving the event with a particular focus on the talent here in and from in southern Illinois: current creative writing faculty, alums of the MFA Program, and local writers who are thriving and publishing. Free and open to the public, we invite the campus and local community to celebrate homegrown literary excellence.
